IAS Smita Sabharwal :- Rs 15 lakh is given to IAS officer by The magazine 'Outlook'. The Govt of Telangana has sanctioned INR 15 lakh to a woman IAS officer smita sabharwal to sue an English magazine "Outlook" for allegedly damaging/spoiling her reputation or image in a news that was published before sometime which had laid down a big controversy.
She is Additional Secretary to The State Telangana Chief Minister intends to sue 'Outlook' for Indian rupee 10 crore for allegedly damaging or spoiling her reputation by publishing an article or news and caricature portraying her "indecently". The state government of Telangana issued an order sanctioning INR 15 lakh to Smita Sabharwal towards legal expenses to file the civil suit after she informed the government of her plans.
She said to the government that according to the norms an amount of Indian rupee INR 9.75 lakh has to be deposited as court fee when she was filing the civil suit against the "Outlook" and requested for sanctioning the amount of INR 15 lakh, which would contain and include the amount of other legal expenses and fees.

The city police had booked a case against the weekly including its Editor-in-Chief on complaint of the husband of smita sabarwal name akun sabarwal who is an IPS officer.
